Architecture and Deployment
1. How do I get and install the application?
There are two ways to install the application:
- The application comes in a virtual machine package. To install the application, you will need either Virtual Box or Work Station to put the virtual machine in. Consult our implementation guide for step by step procedure.
- Host the application in the Malloc Data Centre, in which case no installation is necessary, however, it would be necessary to pay for hosting services this way.
2. Which platforms are supported?
Since it is a web-based application, it can be accessed by anything with a web browser (optimized for mobile platforms as well). An Android application exists as well, and an iOS version is in the development process.
3. Do you provide training?
Yes, we provide several types of training – personal administrators, telephone/Skype sessions, or presentations. These services are paid separately. It is important to mention that every client gets the proper documentation and video tutorials for starters.
4. Can the application be used in different locations?
Each location would require one YouTestMe software copy and license, if they are not on the same network. This means that if all of your users can access the same web server, then you would need only one license. If some of your users cannot access that web server, then you would need to install another server on their location/network, which means another license.
5. What is the difference between Monthly Plans and Software Purchase?
The difference is primarily where the application is hosted. With Monthly Plans, the application is hosted on YouTestMe servers and in that case, you are renting the application.
As about Software Purchase, you become the owner of application and you decide whether you will host the application on our cloud servers or on your on-premises.
Please note that if you decide to host the purchased application (GetCertified or Classroom2020) on our cloud server, you pay the monthly cloud hosting fee, starting from US$99/month. You are eligible to migrate the application at any time, free of charge.
6. I have purchased Monthly Plan package, how do I access the application?
Once you purchase desired Monthly Plan package and payment is being confirmed, we will set-up the application and provide you with your login credentials.
7. Do I become the owner of software if I go with Monthly Plan package?
If you decide to go with Monthly Plan package, you are actually renting the software, but you are in a full control over the data.
8. If I am using Monthly Plan package, can I redeem the software?
Yes. You can redeem the software at any time you want.
9. What is the price for redeeming the software?
The price for redeeming the software is calculated by the following formula:
Software Redeem Price = Deployment Price - (Cloud Package Price - Number of Months)
I.e. You are using Standard Cloud Package of GetCertified for 6 months, and you have decided to redeem the software. The redeem price is:
Redeem Price = US$6,900 - (US$399/month x 6 months) = US$6,900 - US$2,394 = US$4,506
10. I have purchased Software Purchase version of application, what next?
Once your payment is being confirmed and the payment is being confirmed, we will start Product Receiving Process. Alongside with the application, we will provide you with all necessary documentation.
11. What is the difference between hosting GetCertified "starting from US$99/month" and Monthly Plan packages?
The price 'starting from US$99/month' is charged in a case that you have purchased the Software Purchase version of the application and you don't have where to host it.
12. What types of software purchase models do you offer?
We offer two types of software purchase models:
- On Cloud - you purchase the software that can be hosted on your cloud server or on our cloud server.
- On Premises - you purchase the software that can be hosted on your local server.
The price is the same for both Cloud and On Premises.
Please note that if you decide to host the purchased application (GetCertified or Classroom2020) on our cloud server, you pay the monthly cloud hosting fee, starting from US$99/month. You are eligible to migrate the application at any time, free of charge.

The basic price model includes the application in a Virtual Machine and an email support with a maximum of 24-hour response time during workdays.
14. How do YouTestMe products compare to other similar products?
Our application is using state-of-the-art Oracle technologies and innovative tools in its modules. Our pricing is among the most competitive in the business as you can see in our Pricing list. We also offer customization services, at very competitive prices since we outsource our development.
15. What kind of support is available?
Email support is included in the price; higher tiers of support (on-site, personal advisor) are paid separately.
16. Can the application be branded with our logo?
Yes, the minor customizations such as logo and color changing are free of charge. Any kind of larger customizations can be discussed and implemented at very competitive prices.
17. What kind of maintenance is included in the price?
Regular updates, critical hotfixes, and email support during workdays.

- Up-to-date user manuals, upgrade manuals and best practices instructions for users and system administrators
After the first year of free support, it can be extended at a price of US$900/year.
Advanced support includes the video chat and customizable grading systems. The premium level of support also includes the telephone call support and one or more personal administrators.
An extra service also includes the entering and management of data in the purchased product.
We provide several types of training – personal administrators, telephone/Skype sessions, or presentations. These services are paid separately. It is important to mention that every client gets the proper documentation and video tutorials for starters.

8. What happens after the first year of free support?
After the first year of free support, you can extend the support for US$900/year, or you can continue with a free support that includes only technical support via email with a response time of up to 5 business days.
If you want to extend the support for another year, the support will remain the same, as it was during the first year of free support, meaning that it includes:
- Technical support via email with a response time of up to 24 hours
- Software updates (hot fixes and patches)
- Software upgrades (new versions of the software)
- Free previews of new application upgrades (so you can decide if you would like to upgrade)
- Assistance with the installation of application upgrades
- Up-to-date user manuals, upgrade manuals and best practices instructions for users and system administrators
9. Is there an annual fee for updates and upgrades?
By purchasing our application, you get one year of free support and free upgrades during the free support period. Free support includes all client documentation, video tutorials, support over email with a response time of 4 business hours. After the first year, optionally, you can extend the support for US$900 per year and continue receiving the upgrades.
10. How many licenses are given for a single purchase?
With one purchase, you get one license. For more purchases, we offer special discounts.
11. Is the price of Oracle Database included in the price of software?
Our software is distributed with Oracle 12c database and its perpetual license is already included in the price.
If you own your own Oracle database it is possible to use it with YouTestMe Application instead of a database distributed with the YouTestMe software.
There are several advantages of using your own Oracle database:
- YouTestMe system price is discounted for US$1,000
- You have a full control and direct access to all data. For example, you have an option to use applications other than YouTestMe to access YouTestMe data directly.
- There fewer Oracle licensing restrictions if you would like to customize or integrate YouTestMe system with other systems
